This qualification provides a general vocational outcome in agriculture. You could select a livestock production, cropping or livestock context as a job focus. In mixed farming enterprises, you could choose both cropping and livestock.
With this qualification, you carry out routine tasks under supervision. You also show accountability for your work and show initiative. Job roles may include:
Assistant animal attendant/stockperson
Assistant farm or station hand
Assistant farm or station worker
Assistant farm or station labourer.
This course is delivered by Seafood and Maritime Training Inc, a nationally Registered Training Organisation (RTO 7074)
In this VET course students will cover a range of skills and knowledge relevant to working in the aquaculture industry. Learning opportunities will include; farming, hatcheries and nurseries, live post-harvest holding and processing, maintaining structures and machinery and sustainability. Students would benefit from having a desire to work in the industry or aquatic retail.
This qualification underpins a range of work functions and job roles that can lead to a horticultural trade qualification.
